Julia is in Vegas with the other MISS USA delegates getting ready for MISS USA! She’s done her video interview, Fadil shot (in opening number dress), evening gown photoshoot, and swimwear photoshoot. There are also tons of candid videos and photos of Julia on the MISS USA website!
Julia hosts the 1st annual “So you want to be a Dance Idol” Northern Utah Dance Competition
On February 29th, Miss Utah USA 2008 Julia Marie Bachison hosts the 1st annual “So you want to be a Dance Idol” Northern Utah Dance Competition. Event held at “The Cherry on Top Dance Hall located at 500 North Main Street, Brigham City, UT. Apply at the Brigham City Family Fun Center (www.bcfuncenter.com).
- All styles of dance eligible
- Ages 15 to 75
- Feb. 15: Applications due
- Feb. 22: Kick-off party
- Auditions will start: Feb 29
- Upon being chosen as a finalist, you must commit to the 1st three Wednesday nights in April

Julia and Kate Attends the Winter Masquerade Ball
Community Action Services & Food Bank (CASFB) is hosting a Winter Masquerade Ball from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday at Provo’s Historic County Courthouse. Miss Utah USA and Miss Teen Utah USA will be present at the ball. They will be collecting tickets between 8:00 -10:00 p.m. and dancing aftwerward.
The ball is a grand finale to the non-profit agency’s I Care fundraiser, which started in October. The goal is to raise $100,000 in donations by Jan. 31. All proceeds from ball ticket sales will be added to the final donation tally.
The Winter Masquerade Ball is your chance to dress up and conceal your identity for one magical night of music, dancing and mystery.
As a grand finale to the “I Care” fund raising campaign, this ball will help raise money for local non-profit agency, Community Action Services & Food Bank. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to funding the various programs in the organization. We only have a limited number of tickets available so buy yours early.
Awards for best female costume, best male costume, best couple costume and best mask will be announced just before 11:00 p.m., so come prepared in your masquerade attire.

Attire: formal or costume; masks (men may wear suits)
Cost: $15 per person in advance or $20 per person at the door (tickets are limited)

Music: a good mix of fast and slow songs from various decades (requests may be made at the ball)
Will Call: Will call tickets will be available at the east entrance of the courthouse
